Skywatership is a maritime company based in Marseille, developing repositionable desalination vessels for coastal and island water supply. Each vessel carries seawater reverse osmosis capacity and delivers bulk freshwater directly to islands, coastal municipalities and industrial operators under long-term charter. The model is adapted from offshore energy, where a mobile asset is financed, deployed, and redeployed as demand shifts — reducing stranded-asset risk and preserving residual value over the life of the investment.
Floating desalination is an established practice. What Skywatership brings is a delivery model designed for territories facing structural or seasonal water deficits that cannot justify a permanent onshore plant, and for those needing supply continuity while land-based infrastructure is built or repaired.

Hocine SKENDRAOUI
Process Engineering — Desalination & Hydraulics
Hydraulic engineer, graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure de l'Hydraulique. Over ten years in water treatment, wastewater and desalination; he is currently engaged on a large-capacity desalination plant in the Mediterranean. Expertise in reverse osmosis, pre-treatment, pumping, instrumentation and water quality. He designs and sizes the onboard desalination unit and validates its performance.
Mokrane ZEGROUR
Technical Direction — Naval Architecture & Vessel Conversion
Marine engineer, licensed Chief Officer, with postgraduate training in maritime project management (ENSTA Bretagne). Over fifteen years across shipyards, port operations and vessel retrofit, on international programmes in France, Algeria and Spain, covering LNG carriers, tankers, ferries and offshore infrastructure. He leads the vessel's general architecture, its conversion into a desalination unit, and the relationship with shipyards.
Nasreddine BOUCHIKHI
Electrical Engineering & Onboard Solar Generation
Master's in electrical engineering, renewable energy specialisation, first in class. Design engineer for photovoltaic and solar thermal installations, university lecturer and professional trainer. Proficient in sizing and simulation tools (PVsyst, ETAP, MATLAB). He is responsible for the vessel's electrical architecture, photovoltaic sizing, battery storage and electrical safety.
Mohamed BAAZIZ
Marine Operations — Machinery & Classification Interface
Marine mechanical engineer. Nine years as an engineer officer, then Chief Engineer and Fleet Technical Director with a Mediterranean ferry operator: operation and maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, fleet certification management, class surveys, and ISM/MARPOL/STCW compliance. Currently quality and construction supervisor on a world-class LNG cruise ship newbuilding programme. He oversees the vessel's machinery operations and the interface with the classification society.
Technical Advisory Board members act in an individual capacity as independent advisors. Their respective employers are not parties to the project.
